During the construction of the station, a platform structure space was reserved on the south side of platform No. 2; and on the north side of Tuen Mun Station, there is also a reserved space next to track in the direction of Wu Kai Sha to facilitate the passenger flow When growing, one more track can be expanded and one more island platform can be added.

When the train enters this station, it will use the positions of the 1st-8th car on the platform (counting towards the direction of Wu Kai Sha), and make a turn at Station U-Turn. However, when KCR West Rail was opened from 20 December 2003 to 1 January 2016, only 7-car trains were in operation and only stopping locations at Cars 2-8 in the middle of the platform were used. Since the cab at the front of the train could not be aimed at the staff areas at both ends of the platform, several closed-circuit television screens were installed on the platform of this station, which were located at the corresponding line of sight of the cab when the train was parked, and the corresponding platform screen doors were installed Control version of the screen door. From 2 January 2016 to 26 May 2018, West Rail Line trains gradually increased from 7 cars to 8 cars, making 8 The front cab of the train could finally be aimed at the staff area in the direction of Hung Hom, until 27 May 2018 the entire line was officially operated with 8-car trains.
The train departing from platform 1 crosses the crossover, which is a sharp curve which requires trains to pass at a slow speed of 40-45km/h; while the train departing from platform 2 It is a straight line when passing over the crossover, so there is no need to slow down. Furthermore, Tuen Ma Line is not too frequent during off-peak hours, so trains do not need to use two platforms at the same time. Therefore, in terms of train service arrangement, trains will use platform 2 first. When the train that is expected to park on platform 2 fails to leave before the arrival of the next train, the next train will use platform 1.
Lobby[]
The staff area on the south side of this station is directly connected to platform 2 of Light RailTuen Mun Station, which is one of all stations of Tuen Ma Line unique in .
