Siu Hong Stop (兆康站) is a major light rail stop and interchange in Fare Zone 3, north of Tuen Mun New Town, located between Siu Hong Court, Siu Wai Court, and Siu Hong Shopping Center. The LRT platforms are located just west of the Tuen Ma Line Station at Siu Hong (with direct access), where passengers can interchange with the Tuen Ma Line and enjoy interchange discounts. Passengers may also transfer to/from buses but the applicable interchange discount will depend on the bus operator.
Stop Facilities[]
Platform Structure[]
Light Rail Siu Hong Stop is located at the branch point of the main Yuen Long Light Rail Route entering Tuen Mun, so it has a unique triangular platform design. The three sides of the triangle are platforms 1, 4, and 5 respectively. There are traditional side platforms (Platforms 2, 3, and 6) on the opposite sides of the above three platforms for trains in the opposite direction to stop.
The center of the triangular platform was originally an open space, and there was originally a separate Light Rail Customer Service Center building. Later, during the West Rail project, KCRC built its KCR West Rail interchange facilities in the open space. The Light Rail Customer Service Center moved to the lobby of the West Rail Stop after the opening of Siu Hong Stop, but it is also closed now.
Because Light Rail trains only have doors on the left side, passengers may need to cross the tracks to complete your transfer. Tapping the entry/exit processor is not required when transferring between Light Rail routes.

This stop forms a loop with the tracks of Kei Lun Stop to facilitate vehicles from outside Fung Tei to turn around via Kei Lun Stop and this stop, examples are as follows:
From Ching Chung: Route505 From Tuen Mun Hospital: Discontinued Route511 From Lam Tei: discontinued Route722(actual turnaround point is Kei Lun) If a vehicle from Fung Tei terminates at this stop (eg.614P), it will not be able to return to Fung Tei as it cannot make a U-turn and will have to go to Kei Lun. This is one of the reasons why Route614Pruns directly with Route 615P.
To the south of this stop is the Fung Tei Viaduct, the only theLight Railrail self-interchange andLight Railcrossover tracks of the Tuen Ma Line.
LRT incidents due to design problems[]
This stop has been the site of a number of LRT incidents due to the complexity of the tracks in the vicinity of this stop, examples of which are
See: Light Rail Accidents
June 21, 1997: Phase I LRV No. 1019 travelling on Route615to Tuen Mun Ferry Pier made a right turn onto Platform 4 at this stop and collided head-on with Phase I LRV No. 1035 on Route720towards Tin Shui Wai (now Tin Wing) leaving Platform 1, injuring 29 people. To prevent recurrence of the accident, southbound Route615was switched to Platform 2 without stopping at Kei Lun Stop with effect from March 23, 2002 (when the temporary platform was opened). December 18, 2002: Phase III LRV No. 1100 on Route505derailed when it entered Platform 6 at this stop, August 29, 2020: Phase III LRV No. 1119 on Route610entered Platform 1 of this stop and derailed.

Orbit[]
The track between this station and Kei Lun Stop forms a loop, which makes it convenient for vehicles from outside Fengdi to pass through Kei Lun Stop and make a U-turn at this station. Examples are as follows:
- From Ching Chung: 505 line
- From Tuen Mun Hospital: 511 that has been suspended
- From Lam Tei: 722 that has been suspended (the actual turning point is Kei Lun)
If the vehicle coming from Fung Tei takes this station as its terminus (i.e. the current 614P line), it cannot use the loop to turn around and return to Fung Tei, you must go to Qilin. This is one of the reasons why Routes614Pand615P run through. [1]
South of this station is the Fung Tei viaduct, which is the only self-interchange of Light Rail tracks and Light Rail crossing over Tuen Ma Line tracks.
Light rail Accidents Due to Design Problems[]
The tracks near this station are relatively complex, so light rail accidents have occurred at this station. Examples are as follows:
- June 21, 1997: A group of people took a615train to Tuen Mun Ferry Pier (No. 1019) and turned right at this station into No. 4 While on the platform, it collided head-on with a vehicle (No. 1035) on the Route720Tin Shui Wai (now Tin Wing) leaving Platform 1, in which 29 people were injured. In order to avoid recurrence of accidents, from March 23, 2002 , the southbound Route615will use Platform 2 instead, without stopping at Kei Lun Stop.
- December 18, 2002: A train on Route505(No. 1100) derailed when entering Platform 6 of this station. For details, please see 2002 Siu Hong Stop Light Rail Vehicle Derailment.
- August 29, 2020: A train on Route610(No. 1119) derailed when entering Platform 1. For details, please see 2020 Light Rail Vehicle Siu Hong Stop Derailment.

- ↑ During a traffic accident on March 15, 2016, Kei Lun Stop was suspended due to service interruption. On that day, Route614P needs to be changed to Platform 1 of this station as its terminus. It will not carry passengers to Hung Tin Road Emergency Platform and then make a U-turn and return to Platform 2 of this station before it can resume service. This arrangement highlights the fact that trains from Fengdi cannot turn around at this station and return to Fengdi.
