Platforms[]
This station has 4 platforms, each platform is equipped with Platform Screen Doors. Tsuen Wan Line Platform 1 (To Tsuen Wan) and Platform 2 (To Central) share one Island Platform, located underneath Mei Foo Sun Chuen, between Lai Wan Road and Mei Foo Public Transport Interchange. Tuen Ma Line Platform 1 (To Tuen Mun) and No. 2 (To Wu Kai Sha) are two Side Platforms, located below Lai Chi Kok Park and is close to the ground of Cheng Cheung Road, and the Side Platforms layout is the same as Sheung Wan and Hang Hau Stations. Just like Kowloon Tong Station, the platform number of Mei Foo Station has not changed after Rail Merger. Both Tsuen Wan Line and Tuen Ma Line have their own Platforms 1 and 2 respectively. There is a reserved channel on the west side of Platform 1 of the Tuen Ma Line for the use of freight trains on the Port Railway Line (which has been discontinued).

Each Platform of Tuen Ma Line can accommodate a 9-car train. Currently, the first 8-car parking space is used towards Wu Kai Sha; but towards Tuen Mun direction trains use card positions 2 to 9, so that the rear of the train is closer to the interchange corridor elevator, and boarding passengers will not be concentrated at the end. Due to the obstruction of the Platform Screen Doors, the captain will not step out of the cab. He will only observe the status of the platform through the screen in the cab. When all passengers board the vehicle, he will close the door and continue driving.
