Light Rail Route 751 runs between Tin Yat and Yau Oi, via Chung Fu, Chestwood, Hung Shui Kiu, Tuen Mun Hospital, Tuen Mun Town Centre.

This line is currently the only line that can be interchanged with all other Light Rail routes, and it is also the Light Rail route that passes through the most Tuen Ma Line interchange stations, and the only line that cannot reach the Fare Zone 1 (Tuen Mun District) Light Rail[1].

History[]

In 1988, the Light Rail Route 612 was put into service between Yuen Long, Hung Shui Kiu, Siu Hong, Choi Yee Bridge and On Ting. Later, after Tin Shui Wai Phase 1 Branch Line was opened to traffic, Light Rail Route 722 was put into service in 1993, connecting Tin Shui Wai and Siu Hong. The two lines were merged in 1994 into Light Rail Route 720.

  • December 7th, 2003: Light Rail Route 751 was put into service to coincide with the opening of Tin Shui Wai New Branch Line.
  • January 21st, 2004: Added an all-night service on New Year’s Eve (Lunar Calendar) service.
  • August 22nd, 2004: The local route 751P was put into service, and it only runs during the peak hours from Monday to Saturday.
  • September 28th, 2014: Starting in the early morning of the day (September 27th), the service time will be extended to connect with the last train of West Rail Line, which is convenient for interchanging at Tuen Mun, Siu Hong or Tin Shui Wai For this route, implement the following changes:
    • The last train to Tin Yat is extended by 2 minutes to 00:38, and arrives at Tin Shui Wai Station at 01:01, connecting Tin Tsz to Chestwood.
    • The last train to Yau Oi will be extended by 12 minutes to 00:51,
      • Arrive at Tin Shui Wai at 01:02, it stops to the stations along the way from to Lam Tei.
      • Arrive at Siu Hong Station at 01:14 and connect to stations along the way from Tuen Mun Hospital to Hetian.
      • Arrive at Tuen Mun Station at 01:21 (the departure at 01:10 can also connect to the last train of West Rail Line) and connect to Town Centre and Youai Station.
  • December 24th, 2014: Added overnight service on Christmas Eve. [2]
  • December 31st, 2014: Added overnight service on New Year’s Eve. [2]
  • September 27th, 2015: Added overnight service during the Mid-Autumn Festival. [3]
  • October 7, 2019: All railway services in Tin Shui Wai will be suspended, including this line.
  • October 8, 2019: This line is still suspended.
  • October 9, 2019: Affected by severe damage to Signal System near Yau Oi, 751 The line is temporarily extended to Sam Shing. And affected by serious damage to the stations along the line from Tin Wing to Tin Shui Wai and Signaling System, the Tin Shui Wai section of 751 line It was temporarily changed to 761P to and from Tianyi.
  • 2019October 17: With the completion of Tin Wing to Tin Shui Wai southbound restoration, 751 The section of line Tin Shui Wai is temporarily changed to 706through operation. [4]
  • 2019October 18th: 751 towards Tuen Mun District resumes the original route in Tin Shui Wai, but continues to extend to San Sheng . [5]
  • October 22nd, 2019: 751 Tin Shui Wai returns to the original route in Tin Shui Wai, but continues to extend to Sam Shing.
  • October 24th, 2019: 751 line replied with Yau Oi as the terminus.
  • From November 12th, 2019: Due to some stations and signals being damaged again, 751 Tuen Mun District terminus is extended to Sam Shing and Do not stop at Yau Oi and Cuihu, go to Tin Shui Wai in the direction of Tin Yat and take the 705 line, passing through Tin Yuet , Wetland Park returns to Tianyi, walks the original route in the direction of Sansheng to Songfu, then changes to Tin Shui, Tin Yiu to Hang Mei Tsuen and return to the original route. Tuen Mun District to Town Centre, do not enter Yau Oi, and follow 505, line to Sam Shing.
  • 2019December 16th: Change the route of Tianshui Wai area again, instead of going through Cuihu to Tianfu. The direction of Tianyi is changed to Tianyue after Tianrong to Tianheng, return to Tianyi and enter 1 Platform No.; go to Sansheng direction and go to platform No. 5 via circle, then go to Tianrong in the opposite direction, and then follow the original route to Sansheng.
  • 201919 December: 751 resumes normal operation in Tin Shui Wai District, but continues to use Sam Shing as the terminus in Tuen Mun District.
  • December 22nd, 2019: Yau Oi Stop will be resumed as the terminus of Tuen Mun District.
  • 2021June 20th: In response to West Rail Line, the departure time of the last train will be delayed to accommodate the full opening of Tuen Ma Line a week later, the last train Delayed to 00:45 from Yau Oi, and 00:54 from Tin Yat.

  • 2015July 13th: Cancel the special towing shift during the afternoon rush hour during school holidays from Monday to Friday, and the number of towing cards will be restored from 7 groups to 5 groups.
  • 2016March 28: Resume special tow truck shifts during afternoon rush hours during school holidays from Monday to Friday, with trains numbered 175 and 180, and the number of tow trucks increased from 5 groups to 7 groups.
  • 2019June 29th: Monday to Friday train sequence 185' is changed to only use in the morning rush hour, special shift924 ' is also cancelled.
  • November 17th, 2020: The first two Phase V LRVs will be put into service, and they will initially run this route during morning peak hours, then routes 610, 751P, the car sequence is 928. This arrangement was canceled later that same month.
  • February 22nd, 2021: The first two trains of the fifth phase will serve this route again, and the sequence is 181. However, the train was temporarily removed from this line between March 2 and March 10 in the same year.
  • From September 18, 2022: on Sundays and public holidays, the sequence 173 will be towed, increasing the towed ratio to 50%.
