Vehicles[]

In the early days of this route (December 2003), when KCR overestimated the patronage of Tin Shui Wai South, at one time four coupled-set Light Rail Vehicles were deployed, which were later reduced to three single cars. [2]

Series application[]

This route uses 9 trains, with train sequence numbers 101-109.

When it was introduced in December 2003, it used 4 sets of coupled-set Light Rail Vehicles during peak hours and before it ceased operation (August 2004), it used 3 sets of single cars during peak hours.

Alignment[]

This route runs only in the southern part of Tin Shui Wai and only within Fare Zone 4, the only route ever to serve only one toll zone.

It also has the lowest number of platform stops per interchange, with only 9 per interchange.

This route was then a separate zone from Chestwood to Tin Shui (previously used by 720, 721 route).

The number of platforms per turn is 10 and the total right turn angle is 360 degrees less than the left turn angle, i.e. counter-clockwise on the track.
