Light Rail Route 615runs between Yuen Long and Tuen Mun Ferry Pier, passing Castle Peak Road, Hung Shui Kiu, Kin Sang, Leung King, Ming Kum and Lung Mun.
This route has the most sparse average frequency and the lowest proportion of 2 car services.
History[]
- 1st January, 1993: Light Rail Route 615was put into service simultaneously with the first and second phases of the Tin Shui Wai Branch Line, which at that time traveled south via Kei Lun.
- From March 2002, 3: In conjunction with the reconstruction of Siu Hong, the north facing platform of the station was stopped at a specific time every day, and the southbound platform will not pass through Kei Lun Stop all day.
- November 2003, 11: The reconstruction of Siu Hong was completed, but the southbound did not change back to Qilin Station. (The southbound route via Kirin Station was replaced by Line 9P in April of the following year.) )
- January 2004, 1: Overnight services were added on the evening of the Chinese New Year's Eve .
- April 4, 2004: Half of the route was diverted to Light Rail Route 615P.
- February 2, 2005: Overnight services on the night of the Chinese New Year's Eve were discontinued.
- 10 October, 2006: With Light Rail Route 761cancelled, light rail route change, the line's color changed from brown to yellow.
- October 5 to October 10, 2019: MTR suspended Light Rail services for one week due to extensive damage to its stations.
