Kam Sheung Road Station (錦上路站) is one of the stations of the Tuen Ma Line of the MTR. It was built in Por Lo Shan, southwest of Kam Tin, Yuen Long District, New Territories. It is adjacent to Pat Heung Depot and the MTR Kam Tin Building. All stations located in the Northwest of the New Territories belong to the overhead design.

This station was originally planned to be named "Kam Tin Station" (KAT), but since the station is located between Kam Tin and Pat Heung, the residents of the two places disagreed over the name of the station. It was finally decided to name the station after the name of the nearby Kam Sheung Road.

Station Symbol[]

Kam Sheung Road Station uses brick red as the main colour.

Station Structure[]

Kam Sheung Road Station is 280 meters long. Its exterior walls are brick-red, with traditional Chinese characteristics. In addition, trees are planted in the surrounding open space, echoing the surrounding rural environment. The design of the ground floor is in line with the relatively open rural environment of the local area. Since Kam Sheung Road Station runs southeast-northwest, the walls of the ground floor are mostly made of transparent glass components to the east, while brown brick walls are erected to the west. This will help to attract The sunlight from the east enters the room, allowing a broad view of the countryside to the east, and also prevents the strong sunlight from the west in the afternoon from causing the indoor temperature to rise sharply.
