- The Light Rail opened Route 511
- The Light Rail opened Kei Lun Stop
1989: The Peak Tram launch ceremony for the new carriage and drive system (that is currently in use).
2006: The MTR began to use a new version of the door closing alarm sound.
2010:Light RailPhase IV LRV #1123 entered service. It is the 13th unit to enter service.
