Major Accident

  • At 6:47 in the morning, a train (No. 1032) on Light Rail Route 615 train heading towards Yuen Long collapsed near Ching Chung Stop when it hit a tree, causing damage to the overhead cables and a power outage. Affected by the accident, the Light Rail Routes 505, 507, 610, 615, 615P, 751 were diverted. The arrangement is as follows:
    • The route 610, 615, 615P, 751 is diverted back and forth via Pui To to Fung Tei;
    • Route 505, 507 passes through Kin On back and forth, at Shan King U-turn;
    • MTR Arrange Shuttle Bus to pick up affected passengers from Tuen Mun to Siu Hong.

• November 21: At 2:00 p.m., a Light Rail Route 507 train (number 1093) heading to Tin King left Tuen Mun Ferry Pier collided with a K52 bus (607/JS5899) and the front derailed, 28 people were injured.

• January 6: MTR launched its 35th anniversary celebration.
